# Conductor

Conductor uses the plugin and MCP behavior of the agent running inside the workspace. There is no separate Conductor manifest, catalogue, or forked workflow.

1. In Conductor, create or open a workspace and choose **Claude Code** or **Codex** as its agent.
2. Follow the matching [Claude Code](/docs/setup/claude-code) or [Codex](/docs/setup/codex) guide and install Enhance at user scope.
3. Start a fresh agent session in Conductor. Do not add a second Conductor-specific plugin or MCP configuration.
4. Ask the selected agent to check Enhance status and complete browser sign-in.
5. Verify the inherited connection with a read-only request, then open and render the example canvas.

If you change the underlying agent, install Enhance for that provider too. Conductor reads the selected agent's user configuration; canvases and published prototypes remain Enhance product state and are not copied into the workspace.
