# MCP-only fallback

Connect directly to Enhance's hosted MCP server when your agent cannot install the complete plugin. This supports remote canvas operations without the four packaged workflow skills. No Node.js installation is needed.

1. Open your agent's **Add MCP server** settings.
2. Choose **HTTP** or **Streamable HTTP**, name the server `enhance`, and enter `https://api.enhance3.karunalabs.ai/mcp`.
3. Choose **User** scope when available and save the connection.
4. Select **Authenticate** or **Connect** and complete Enhance's browser sign-in.
5. Ask the agent to list your canvases, then inspect and render one.

In VS Code with GitHub Copilot, use **MCP: Add Server** from the Command Palette. In the Codex IDE extension, use the extension's own **MCP servers** settings; see [Codex setup](/docs/setup/codex).

The hosted service cannot read files on your computer. Publishing a local build or applying a design to local source needs the complete local plugin. Installing that plugin later does not delete your Enhance data.

## Recovery

If sign-in is incomplete or has been revoked, reconnect from the same agent's MCP settings. Verify the account by listing canvases before treating the connection as ready.
